TGA0869 – IEDs Seized at Cambodian Military Positions Along the Thai-Cambodian Border

February 1, 20261 min readTerrogence Intelligence Team

Throughout December 2025, documentation showing two types of IEDs seized by Royal Thai Army forces at Cambodian military positions along the Thai-Cambodian border emerged online. These IEDs represent a low-cost and relatively innovative method of repurposing common standard munitions or mines held by Cambodian forces as the main charge in improvised anti-personnel mines. In their current configuration, the IEDs do not appear to pose a significant threat to Thai EOD personnel. However, this assessment could change should sophisticated camouflage techniques or initiation systems be adopted by Cambodian forces.
