Between February 4 and 7, 2025, a series of eight FPV goggles exploded while being powered up, leaving at least eight Russian soldiers blinded. The Ukrainian Main Directorate of Intelligence committed this attack, as claimed by Ukrainian media, stating the goggles were booby-trapped after they were imported into Russia. The operation was inspired by the September 2024 electronic device attacks in Lebanon.
