During the surprise Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7, 2023, as well as in the days that followed, different kinds of UAS were employed by terrorist groups from Gaza – some fixed-wing improvised loitering munitions, and others multirotor armed UAVs. The weaponized UAS were fitted with special payloads, some of which, in our estimation, were used for the first time during the current war.
