On May 17, 2023, members of the Taliban’s 313 Central Army Corps seized a weapons cache in Siah Gard District, in northern Afghanistan’s Parwan Province.
An assortment of anti-personnel mines, igniters, detonating cord and safety fuse was documented, all from different foreign sources. Notwithstanding the presence of the weapons, all of which are known to be used in Afghanistan, the concentration of materials from different foreign sources in one cache suggests the items were possibly collected and stored by different organizations over a period of time.
