On August 25, 2022, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation announced the capture of an alleged Azov Battalion follower – a recruited Russian citizen, who was preparing attacks in several locations in Kaliningrad, Russia. According to reports, the attack targets included the Baltic Fleet and Khrabrovo Airport. An IED and IED components, as well as correspondence with Azov militants, were seized from the detainee’s place of residence.
Recently, a number of IED attacks were thwarted in Russia which, according to official Russian sources, involved people recruited among Ukrainian nationalists.
