On March 1, 2022, Philippines security forces raided an Islamic State compound in Maguing, in Lanao del Sur Province, in the Philippines. Large quantities of weapons were seized, including standard weapons and ammunition, as well as modified weapons based on RPG-2 rounds, and assorted improvised rockets. Different kinds of modified weapons were documented in a number of incidents during 2021, indicating the start of a weapons manufacturing industry mimicking standard weapons, by the Islamic State in the Philippines.
